• How to upgrade firmware?

  Step 1) Back up the LoadMaster KEMP recommends taking a backup of the LoadMaster as a restore point which can be used if needed. To back up the LoadMaster, go to System Configuration > System Administration > Backup/Restore. Click Create Backup File.

• Can I upgrade from firmware X to the current GA firmware?

• Does my LoadMaster support the latest firmware?

  Check the list below, If the unit is 32-bit you can only upgrade as far as LTS If the unit is not on the list below, please check our End of life cycle

• What is the recommended firmware?

  Kemp recommends upgrading to the LTS

• What firmware do I need to license a new subscription record?

  Users can only license a new subscription record if firmware version is 7.2.38 or above. Once licensed, user can easily upgrade or downgrade the firmware.

• Do you have a list of publicly known bugs in your general available firmware releases?

  Yes, all known issues are included in the release notes found on our documentation page.

• Rollback to previous version of the firmware on the load master

  Sometimes it may be necessary to roll back to a previous version of firmware. To rollback to previous version of firmware Go to System Configuration – System Administration – Update Software. To restore to the previous firmware select restore software. This will roll back to the previous version e.g. Current 6.0-34. to Restore previous version: 6.0-28.

• If I upgrade the firmware on my LoadMaster but encounter problems, will I be able to revert to the previous state?

  Yes, the LoadMaster will save your most previous version of firmware. You can revert to the previous version by navigating to your WUI:

• How do I receive the latest firmware for my LoadMaster?

  For all currently supported customers, please contact support with the subject "Firmware Request". In the body of the email please include the serial number of the unit(s) you would like to upgrade, as well as the version of firmware your LoadMaster is currently running. It is advisable to check System Configuration > System Administration > Update Software to ensure that "Choose file" is selectable.

• When I attempt to upgrade the firmware on my LoadMaster, I receive the message " Update not permitted." How do I remedy this?

  For all currently supported customers, please contact support with the subject "License Request". In the body of the email please include the serial number of the unit(s) you would like to upgrade, as well as their current associated use (Single, HA-1, HA-2).

• How do I receive notification of the latest firmware upgrades?

  The best place to find notifications concerning any firmware upgrades will be to visit our News channel within our forums. This is located on our support site Note: If the page doesn't display correctly, try a different browser or look into adding a RSS extension for your browser.

• Update firmware.

  Firstly find out what is the currently version of firmware that is loaded on your loadmaster select home on your loadmaster. Under loadmaster version this will show the current version of firmware that is installed e.g. 6.0-34.20120518-1448.
