Declaration of REACH Compliance

On June 1, 2007, the European Commission established new regulations (EC 1907/2006) that cover the Registration, Evaluation, and Authorization of Chemicals (REACH). The aim of REACH is to improve the protection of human health and the environment through the better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances. As a global citizen for building digital infrastructure, Kemp Technologies, Inc. is fully supportive of global industry efforts to phase out the use of undesirable elements from manufacturing processes wherever possible.

Under the structure of the REACH Regulation, Kemp is a manufacturer and supplier of “articles” to our EU customers. We do not manufacture or supply “substances” or “preparations” and our articles do not involve the “intentional release of substances”. Accordingly, we foresee no registration or pre-registration requirement for the products we supply to you.

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) continually identifies “candidate” Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). The supplier of an article placed on the EU market, that contains any SVHC in any concentration above 0.1% w/w, is obliged to provide the recipient with the article relevant safety information.

Kemp Technologies, Inc. products and their packaging do not contain any of these SVHC in any concentration above 0.1% w/w, and hereby certify that its products are in full compliance with all aspects of REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006.

The pertinence of the above mentioned information is continuously checked by Kemp, if any change happens or new information comes up, our customers will be informed immediately.
