Azure Resource Manager is a portal based deployment, management and configuration tool for delivering services and solutions made up from multiple Azure resources. It is Microsoft’s preferred visual tool for Azure solution setup. Resource Manager allows groups of related Azure resources to be configured, deployed and managed together in a convenient way. In addition to aligning into groups, Azure resources can be deployed from templates featuring preconfigured resources. Tags can be assigned to allow associated views of resources to be presented. For example, all resources used by a particular division of an organisation. Resource manager is fully compatible with Azure resources deployed via PowerShell cmdlets, command line tools, and the REST API.
