KEMP provides a range of LoadMaster products with throughput capacities up to 30Gbps, however there are situations where it is desirable to incrementally add capacity. Clustering allows multiple LoadMaster instances (nodes) to act as a single entity. There is a single management and control domain and each node actively passes traffic. If any nodes should fail the remaining nodes continue to provide service to the remote client, providing resilience.
The clustering solution can provide both a growth path as demands increase and also a means of dealing with traffic spikes at peak times. It is supported on both physical and virtual LoadMaster instances. For further details please review the documentation.
