Microsoft SharePoint

Microsoft SharePoint is a sharing and collaboration product within the Microsoft server product family. It provides functionality that organisations can use to share information and documents in a secure manner. SharePoint can be used to deliver Intranets, Extranets for partner collaboration, document management with revision to previous versions, enterprise wide search, corporate directories with provision for expert location, a foundation application platform for developers to build custom solutions on, all contained in a solution that IT administrators can securely manage. SharePoint can be deployed on premise, via cloud based servers, as part of Office 365 or as a hybrid solution.
