Hosting providers are a subset of the businesses that operate in the service provider space. They are focused on providing remote infrastructure services
that businesses and organizations can purchase and use without having to deploy and manage their own servers or data centers.. Hosting providers provide compute, storage and network resources as required so businesses can build a solution that meets their
needs. The service provided can be private, separate, and dedicated to a single business or they can be virtual machines on shared underlying hardware. Many service providers also provide hosted applications, for example WordPress or Microsoft Exchange
Server hosting, that can be purchased and used remotely. In this sense hosting providers are often also public and private cloud providers.
