FaaS (Framework as a Service) is an emerging term for Cloud solutions that are situated between PaaS (Platform as a Service) and SaaS (Software as a Service) offerings. FaaS solutions give organisations the ability to customise solutions to meet their unique needs but do not require them to develop a complete system on top of a PaaS solution. As such FaaS solutions offer much of the simplicity of SaaS offerings but with the ability to customise them more than usual.
