CT-Scan

CT-scans are sometimes referred to as CAT scans or computed tomography scans. They use X-rays and computer imaging to create detailed images of the inside of the body. Additional X-ray opaque contrast solutions are introduced into patient’s body during a CT-scan to enhance the image quality. Images from CT-scans are often stored in PACS and EHR systems associated with patient records.
