Apache HTTP Server

Apache HTTP Server, often referred to simply as Apache, is the most popular web server platform for hosting web sites and services on the Internet. Apache was first released in 1996 and is controlled and maintained by The Apache Software Foundation. According to the July 2016 Netcraft Web Server Survey, Apache was used on 46% of active web sites. Apache is free to use, open source, and can be deployed on most Unix and Linux distributions, and on Windows Server.
