Today we are absolutely delighted to announce the launch, along with our partners at DELL, of the LoadMaster™ R320, a purpose-built, hardware load balancing and application delivery controller, the first platform to be released as a result of the companies’ partnership.
The LoadMaster R320 is based on the high performance variant of the Dell PowerEdge™ R320 server and leveraging the global support network of Dell, enables medium-to-large enterprises to assure the high availability and reliability of web-based business-critical applications.
Why is this important?
The LoadMaster R320 enables data center clusters powering Internet sites and large intranets to intelligently and efficiently distribute network traffic among web and application servers. A resource optimization layer in front of applications and infrastructure servers gives IT administrators greater control to adapt to network changes and enable the best network and infrastructure performance.
The LoadMaster R320 delivers on these requirements through the inclusion of the latest advancements in Layer 4 and 7 load balancing, content switching, SSL acceleration, Layer 7 content switching, caching, compression, IPS, IP and Layer 7 persistence. All KEMP load balancers are optimized for a broad range of IP applications including core Microsoft Enterprise workloads such as Exchange, Lync, SharePoint, RDS and Dynamics.
Easier to manage for IT Admins
Harnessing the Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC) with Lifecycle Controller in the Dell PowerEdge server, IT administrators can manage and monitor the LoadMaster R320 and Dell application servers using a common enterprise management platform. Customers can easily track and receive alerts about hardware issues, perform remote management and minimize the need for physical access to the appliance through out-of-band management, LoadMaster recovery options, user and role-based access, and basic integration with Dell Open Manage Essentials.
“We are excited to offer customers the combination of our high-performance Dell PowerEdge R320 server, as well as our global service and support, with KEMP’s server load balancing technology, to enable high availability and the optimal web user experience,” said Ron Pugh, executive director and general manager, Americas OEM Solutions, Dell. “The Dell OEM Partner Program introduced in 2012 delivers on its promise to make it easier for manufacturers like KEMP to bring exciting solutions to market.”
The new LoadMaster R320 also incorporates enterprise-grade management and monitoring, as well as on-site support in 123 countries.
First of its kind with DELL
The LoadMaster R320 is the first KEMP platform to be delivered through the Dell OEM Partner Program, a highly customizable, one stop shop for partners. Manufacturers can access resources from Dell OEM Solutions to expedite time to market, save time and money on development, and keep up with the changing demands of their customers.
“Over the past 12 years of delivering easy-to-use and cost-effective load balancing solutions, KEMP has established a strong reputation as a value leader in the Application Delivery Controller technology space,” said Peter Melerud, EVP of Product Management at KEMP Technologies. “Working closely with the Dell OEM team allowed KEMP to cost-effectively bring this product to market in record time and reach broader market segments, enabling KEMP to focus on what we do best – building best-of-breed Application Delivery Controller solutions.“
