OCSP Stapling

An alternative to Online Certificate Status Protocol, OCSP stapling is a method of X.509 certificate revocation and status verification that allows the presenter of a certificate to assume the responsibility and cost associated with OCSP by including or “stapling” CA-signed responses during the initial connection TLS handshake, removing the need for additional CA verification.
