STARTTLS offload for mail protocols
STARTTLS is an extension to plain text based Internet protocols that allows them to use an encrypted TLS or SSL connection to a backend server. STARTTLS for IMAP, POP3 and SMTP provides for encrypted authentication between email clients and email servers that support TSL or SSL.
