Private Cloud

A Private Cloud delivers Cloud services to a single organization. The term is often misused to describe a private Data Centre. In reality, a Private Cloud needs to provide the flexibility that can be obtained from a public Cloud such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS provides, but to a single private organization. The services that are usually ascribed to a Cloud Service such as self-service IT Provision, capacity change on demand, on use billing, redundancy, resilience, and others, can be provided via private Data Centers owned and operated for the exclusive use of an organization. Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS both provide subsets of services that can be run in private Data Centers to deliver their Cloud services on premise. Many other technologies and products exist to allow the flexibility of Cloud Services to be provided and used by organizations in Private Clouds.
