Ambulatory Meaningful Use

Ambulatory Meaningful Use is a medical administration incentive program from the US Federal Government. It is designed to try encourage the uptake of Electronic Health Record systems. It aims to deliver better clinical outcomes, improved population health outcomes, increased transparency and efficiency, empowered individuals, and more robust research data on health systems use. Ambulatory Meaningful Use criteria apply to EHR systems for outpatients. There are equivalent Hospital Meaningful Use criteria for hospitalized patient EHR systems.
