It is that time of year again and VMware is ready to make its mark in San Francisco, California. For those who have not attended VMworld in the past, August 25th to the 29th will be a packed week full of learning, networking, and activities to satisfy the needs of any geek. This year the theme is “Make Your Mark” and the content catalog is exactly what you would expect. The lineup includes topics ranging from Hybrid Cloud, Multi-Cloud, Modern Apps, Digital Workspace, and Emerging Trends to name a few. The hardest part of attending VMworld is choosing which sessions to attend. Every year I spend hours looking at the catalog and adding sessions to my favorites like a kid in a candy store and this year is no different. What might be best about the conference is walking the floor in the Solution Exchange and networking with all the sponsors/exhibitors.
Focused on Application Delivery, there is no surprise my sessions are with a focus on Hybrid/ Multi-Cloud, Automation and Modern Apps. Over the last several years Kemp has developed the building blocks to successfully deliver an always-on application experience expected from every organization. These building blocks include Kemp’s award-winning LoadMaster load balancer, providing the availability, scalability and performance for any workload running on VMWare ESXi on-premises, your SDDC running VMWare Cloud on AWS or VMWare Cloud on Dell EMC.
Another essential building block is Kemp 360 Central, which delivers the management, monitoring and control of your application delivery infrastructure. As more and more customers are moving to the hybrid cloud or multi-cloud model, Kemp 360 Central is a must have to improve visibility and reduce operation overhead.
The final building block delivering the insights of the overall application health and performance is Kemp 360 Vision. With the complexities of today modern applications, having this level of analytics and alerting is vital. As I wouldn’t drive my car with a blind fold on, I have no intention on delivering my applications without the full awareness provided by Kemp 360 Vision.
Speaking of Modern Applications, Kubernetes although not new, is certainly one of the hot topics this year at VMworld. With 71 available sessions in the catalog surrounding Kubernetes and VMWare Enterprise PKS there is a whole lot to talk about, plan for and implement. In addition to the 71 Kubernetes and Enterprise PKS sessions mentioned, Kemp is delivering a session (Auto-Pilot [ON]: Deploy and Scale Apps Dynamically within vRO and Kubernetes) in the Solution Exchange Theater on Wednesday at 2:20pm and it is not one to miss.
Another not to miss event is of course VMworld Fest. After a long week of brain overload, VMworld Fest is our time to kick back, eat, drink, and enjoy the entertainment. This year’s headliner is OneRepublic which is sure to deliver a great event.
I wish everyone safe travels and a great week at VMworld 2019. Be sure to visit the Solution Exchange and stop by booth #2051 to discuss how Kemp can help you leave your mark by delivering an always-on application experience in your organization.
