Azure Stack, Azure for private data centers, is making big waves at Microsoft Inspire this week as it moves from Technical Preview to RTM. Major partners such as Dell, Lenovo, HP Enterprise, Cisco, and others are preparing to showcase their Azure Stack offerings and will be making them available to customers in the coming months.
Microsoft also announced several key ISVs that are already working on getting applications ready for Azure Stack: KEMP Technologies, Bitnami, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Docker, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and SUSE Linux.
If you’re wondering what Azure Stack looks like and what you’ll be able to do with the private cloud offering, look no further. Our very own Bhargav Shukla has compiled an Azure Stack First Look course that will take users (intermediate and up) from scratch to building out a full Azure Stack POC deployment. The course provides insights into:
- What is Azure Stack?
- Technical requirements
- Preparing an Azure Stack host
- Deploying Azure Stack
- Registering Azure Stack
- Deploying a virtual machine
