Demand for server load balancing drives UK growth for Kemp

Apr. 18, 2012 - Kemp Technologies – a leader in affordable server load balancer appliances and application delivery controllers (ADCs) – is expanding its professional services to support rapid growth in the UK market. The move is part of a major investment programme to accelerate Kemp’s business in the UK and wider EMEA region, following an injection of $16 million dollars of new funding announced earlier this year. In addition to increasing its range of installation and remote hot-line technical support services, Kemp will also be offering 4-hour/same day or next day parts express services, with a Kemp certified engineer if required. In addition, Kemp will be working with its channel partners to provide comprehensive pre-sales consultancy, workshops and educational programmes focused on SME customers.

“With SMEs now using multiple servers and applications, many are faced with needing  server load balancing and application delivery control for the first time,” said George Zervos, EMEA Sales Director for Kemp Technologies. “Our expanded range of  professional service is designed to help IT managers understand the benefits of server load balancing and provide a high level of on-going support to optimise the performance of their IT infrastructures and web-services and ensure high availability.”

The demand for server load balancing among SMEs is also being driven by the migration to Microsoft Exchange 2010 to handle increasing volumes of email, as well as the adoption of Microsoft SharePoint and Lync Sever, which need load balancing to help ensure performance, scaleability and high availability.

“The result is a growing demand for a new generation of affordable server load balancing solutions that are easy to deploy and manage,” adds Zervos. “Kemp LoadMaster hardware-based and virtual appliance  Load Balancers  are approved for Microsoft Lync Server 2010 and Microsoft Exchange 2010 and our professional services team will help companies successfully understand and implement these technologies.”

The cost of Kemp Virtual LoadMasters starts at just £1,180.00 while LoadMaster appliances start from £1,620.00 both including first-year support with hotline back-up and high-level engineering pre- and post-sales support.
