New York, NY, April 8th, 2015 – KEMP Technologies, a leading provider of price/performance load balancers and Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs), announced today that its LoadMaster version 7.1 solution has received network certification from SAP and is therefore authorized to use the “SAP-Certified Integration with SAP® Applications” logo. This network certification is applicable to: network performance optimization, security, and reliability and availability.
As part of the certification, SAP tested the LoadMaster software against three main solution suites from SAP: the SAP Business Suite, the SAP NetWeaver® technology platform and SAP BusinessObjects™ solutions. For testing user front ends to the SAP HANA® platform, the following solutions were used: SAP Enterprise Portal, the SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) application and SAP BusinessObjects Explorer® software. The certification is applicable for LoadMaster deployed on-premises or in a hybrid on-premises/cloud environment, providing increased security and reliability.
“We are excited to announce the successful achievement of SAP certification for KEMP’s LoadMaster 7.1 solution,” said Jeff Fisher, vice president, Strategic Alliances, KEMP Technologies. “KEMP’s high-performance, highly scalable, reliable and secure ADC solution helps improve the availability and security of applications. We anticipate strong interest from both current and future customers who are seeking a cost-effective yet highly functional ADC for their SAP solution-based environments.”
LoadMaster not only provides customers with always-on access to business-critical applications, but with its GEO or Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB) functionality, it also provides disaster-recovery capabilities. With LoadMaster serving as a reverse proxy to SAP applications, customers are able to secure Internet-facing access for both remote users as well as remote application services, such as those running SAP solutions in the cloud, while helping to prevent unauthorized access, such as intrusions or denial-of-service (DoS) attacks.
KEMP’s software-centric approach to ADCs allows organizations to migrate affordably and efficiently to converged infrastructure and hybrid cloud solutions. In addition, KEMP’s LoadMaster extends beyond basic application-delivery functionality to provide intelligent load balancing, intrusion prevention, edge security and authentication as well as Layer 7 Web Application Firewall (WAF) protection. These features enable an in-depth defense strategy that helps mitigate risk while optimizing application security.
