The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force on the 25th May 2018, replacing the existing data protection framework under the EU Data Protection Directive.
Kemp began the journey towards compliance in 2017 by reviewing all internal divisions and departments to understand the data we process and data flows (mapping) within the business. We followed up on this with:
- end to end data mapping,
- compliance gap analysis,
- third party policy and contract reviews,
- sub-processor agreement reviews and amendments,
- review and development of policies and procedures,
- training and staff awareness.
Continued compliance and improvement
Kemp has an ISO Certified Management System which ensures that our policies and processes are robust, monitored and continue to be relevant in our ever-changing industry.
We consider the protection of the personal data of our customers, partners and staff as fundamental to Kemp. We will continue to monitor our compliance with the GDPR and all other applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, to continually improve the way we do things.
